Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic is a specific technique of analyzing and adjusting the craniocervical junction and upper cervical spine. This technique places a significant focus on the first and second cervical vertebra as they both possess the greatest range of motion in the spinal column, and share a close proximity to the brain stem.
The Blair technique is an examination driven approach that does not involve cracking, popping or twisting of your cervical spine (neck). As part of the Blair technique we use a very specific series of neurological tests and detailed radiographs that allow us to engineer a precise and gentle correction to the neck that is unique to each individual’s anatomical structure.
Upper cervical chiropractic is a health care procedure that has one focus – to locate, assess, and adjust structural misalignments in the cervical spine to restore normal joint biomechanics with the ultimate aim of normalizing the relationship between the spine and the nervous system.
The Blair Upper Cervical Technique is not used to treat diseases, it is used to maximize the body’s ability to function normally. In this process many different diseases, symptoms, and conditions can improve or remit. We most commonly see patients with presentations of:
- Vertigo
- Neck Pain
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Back Pain
- Sciatica
- Meniere’s disease
- Tinnitus
- Fibromyalgia
- Aural fullness
- Bell’s Palsy
- Fibromyalgia
- Eustachian tube dysfunction
- Trigeminal neuralgia
